RPI LIKELY TO BE HOME FOR PATS.(Sports)

The Knickerbocker Arena is out, the Washington Avenue Armory is probably out and the Houston Field House at RPI is probably in as home for the Albany Patroons of the Continental Basketball Association.

After announcing Tuesday he was selling a majority interest of the Patroons to two Saratoga Springs businessmen, Ben Fernandez, who will retain 25 percent interest of the team, said the Pats will not play in the Knickerbocker Arena when it opens next February.

Fernandez doesn't want to put a team in a 15,000-seat arena and have between 3,000 and 4,000 seats filled.
