SA: Australian troops to remain in Iraq for now: Cosgrove
Defence Force chief, General PETER COSGROVE, says Australian troops are likely to stayin Iraq for some time as they help to restore peace to the Middle East.
General COSGROVE says no date has yet been set to bring the troops home and they willlikely remain deployed for months.
He says restoring peace will take time and Australia is committed to being there todoing what it can to support.
